DEMAND

I woke up at 8.45 in the morning today...OH MY GOD!!!!its time i had got ready to leave for my first hour lecture.blame it on the interview i attended yesterday that went on late in night....(it was the interview for a PSU and i performed well and i was quite sure of my selection in it till the time the results wer announced and i found out that i was not selected.i cursed the people who performed better than me in the interview and got selected.it became late in the night to console myself and go to sleep.)i rushed to the bathroom to finish my morning rituals.there was a long queue standing in front of the toilet,bathroom and even the wash basin.i had to wait in front of each one of them for my turn to arrive and finished my duties in a hurry.it was already 9.15...i ran to the college to my classroom wer the lecturer had already taught things that covered the whole blackboard.reluctantly i asked his permission to get into the class.he let me enter the class after giving me his umpteenth "last warning".not to my surprise,the last rows in all the columns of the benches were occupied with 3 people in each of the bench and i was forced to take the first bench right in front of the lecturer.i had to go through the torture of nodding my head to all he said as if i understood everything he mentioned and pretend to note down everything he mentioned.at the end of the lecture he distributed the papers of the last ct's. i was waiting eagerly for this moment as i had prepared very sincerely for this test and also performed very well in it and was expecting to be among the top 3 marks scorers.much to my dismay, at least 10 people had got more marks than me.this was the third time in 1 hour of a day that i was feeling irritated about the fierce competition and demand for anything and everything.i came back to my hostel after my first half and went to the mess.the demand for things did not spare me here also as i was one among some 20 people who were waiting for a chair to become vacant to sit in and have lunch.i also had to bear the disappointment of having been unable to get a bowl of 'raita' as it had become over by the time i got a chair.coming back from the mess,i sat in front of my comp to book my tickets to go home for a vacation which was two months away from now.by now i became used to the disappoinment given by the "demand" so i was not upset wen i found that all the trains bound to my hometown had run out of tickets and now wer standing with a waiting list of at least 100 in each of them.pissed off,i retired to take my afternoon nap.wen i woke up my classmate living next door told me about the PSU company that was to come to our college campus for recruitment."dude,just yesterday has a PSU left after its campus recruitment process.how can another one come in such a short gap?"i asked him skeptically."dude,that was N.T.P.C and the one that's gonna come is B.H.E.L.these days the "demand" for power is increasing drastically and there is an increasing "demand" for electrical engineers like us" explained he.the "demand",which i had been cursing from the morning,i thanked it silently it my mind as it can well be the reason for me to get a job.


P.S:this is a simple imagination of just another final year student(of course,not belonging to C.S or I.T ;) ) of what wud have happened if things went just the way he wished it to happen.no harm meant to anyone.
